Mr. Dean Hallingquest was born on May 5, 1961, in Barnwell, SC to the late James Hallingquest Sr. and Juanita

Bellinger Hallingquest. He entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the Aiken Regional Medical

Centers-Sweetwater Campus in North Augusta, SC.

Dean was educated in the Barnwell County Public School System during his formidable years. Dean was an

avid worker, while being employed throughout all phases of his life using his unique talents, skill and abilities.

He most recently worked closely for his former boss, Mr. John Kevin Morris, who was a good and dear friend

to him as well. Dean was a collector, who could find those rare gems that you did not know existed. He was

also, someone who had a great sense of humor with an incredibly infectious laugh, which often both preceded

and proceeded his many jokes. Dean enjoyed watching westerns, making jokes and spending time with others

when he was able, prior to his illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hallingquest, Sr. and Juanita Bellinger Hallingquest; a son,

Quincy Reed, two brothers, his fraternal twin brother, Dennis Hallingquest, and Herman Lee Hallingquest; two

sisters, Rosezenia Hallingquest and Fredrina Hallingquest. He also was preceded in death by his devoted

friend, Shirley Ann Williams, with whom he helped to rear her two children, Phaedra and Myron Williams,

during their youth as his own.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Lakeshia Reed of Aiken, SC, Shondra Monique Williams of

Williston, SC, Hellen Murray of Barnwell, SC; four brothers, James (Annette) Hallingquest, Jr, Ronald

(Margaret) Hallingquest, of Barnwell, SC, Donald (Diane) Hallingquest, Wayne Hallingquest of Blackville, SC,

two sisters, Christine Bellinger of Monks Corner, SC and Loretta Bellinger of Barnwell, SC; one sister-in-law,

Virginia Hallingquest, of Barnwell, SC. He also leaves to cherish his grandchildren, Ayanna, Charnissa,

Kanisha, Shy’dasia, Maleek and Shalikqua, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends

that will miss his jovial presence
